Medical Advisor to the Genetic Counsellor Registration Board (GCRB)
The purpose of the GCRB is to establish, maintain and improve standards of practice in genetic counselling to assure public safety in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
It seeks to achieve this through accepting responsibility in three primary areas:

We are seeking a clinical geneticist to act in the role of Medical Advisor to the GCRB to:
Attendance:
The Board holds a two-day meeting twice a year. The Medical Advisor would be invited to attend either virtually or face to face at these meetings. The Chair of the GCRB would invite their input for specific aspects of these meetings so full attendance at a two-day meeting would not be required.
This is a voluntary role and terms of reference are available on request.

The GCRB has updated the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct contains the personal and professional standards that GCRB Registered Genetic Counsellors must uphold.
